Do i still need to audition even though i am applying for the Music Production and Engineering program?






-Yes, all students need to go through an audition process regardless of their major. You only get to choose your major in second and third semester. The first semester you take core classes that everyone needs to take. This includes Harmony, counterpoint, Ear Training, etc.

If I have bad grades from High School and low GPA can i still get into Berklee? what should my High school avg. be?

- You can still attend Berklee if you have low grades from High School as long as you have passed all your classes. As long as you prove your musical skills during the audition and write a good enough essay on your application, you should be fine. However, some students with ridiculously  low grades (barely passing) might  not be accepted due to their GPA, etc. For more info you should contact the school.

    Hi I'm auditioning for berklee in March to study songwriting for this coming fall. My prepared piece is one that I wrote where I sing and play the guitar. My principal instrument is voice. I heard that for the sight singing portion, we have to sing an entire song with words and an accompanist. Can you give me advice on the level of difficulty of the song and reccomend any good books that could help prepare for this? Thanks!

    I NEED TO KNOW, IF YOU HAVE A APPLE LAPTOP THAT IS BETTER THAN THE ONE THAT BERKLEE OFFERS, AND ITS 15"SCREEN, DO YOU HAVE TO BUY THE LAPTOP PROGRAM? OR CAN YOU JUST BUY THE SOFTWARE AND INTERFACE, MIDI, ETC?

    Hey im a 16 year old guitar playing and have been studying this site religiously for a while haha! Im pretty much confident with everything except for selecting a prepared piece. Im a blues rock guy and just wondering if you guys had any specific suggestions for a song

    I have two questions.

    Well first, I was wondering what are the required core classes. Do I still need to take a language, English, and stuff like that along with the musical core classes like harmony?

    Also, if I'm not like an amazing pianist, buy I wish to study music production and songwriting, can I still get in? Because I'm much better at clarinet but when I write songs, I write them on piano and not clarinet so should I audition on clarinet or piano? ...thanks for the help!

    hi! i am a berklee aspirant and i am practicing alot, but the thing that bothers me is that wat if you dont get a scholarship? wat if i neither have money nor scholarship? is there any kind of financial aid for international students?

    Hello! I really want to play bass guitar for the military band, and in order to do that, i will need the proper schooling first. iv'e played in a marching band and in indoor percussion, so i know the mentality it takes to perform. i already know what you have to do for the audition, i just need to know what i should do to get in.

    can i audition for berklee with a classical piece?...i dont know..because i dont really know how to play jazz chords and stuff ..i started to play the piano when i was 14 and i am 18 now.. I want to go berkles so i can develop my skills on the piano..i wud also like to teach music so I want to know if it can be done thx
